Financial Aid Application Deadlines

All prospective students who wish to be considered for 61´«Ã½ need-based financial aid MUST meet all published financial aid application deadlines.  61´«Ã½ is need aware in our admission process. If you submit a financial aid document after the published deadline, your financial aid may be substantially reduced. We encourage you to file your application materials in advance of the deadline dates.

Financial Aid Application Requirements

To apply for financial aid at 61´«Ã½, complete the steps outlined below. Students interested in only receiving federal and state grant and loan assistance only need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The CSS Profile is required to be considered for 61´«Ã½ institutional grant assistance.

Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • The 2026-2027 FAFSA is available as of October 1, 2025.
  • 61´«Ã½ FAFSA School Code: 001174
  • Complete this form if you want to apply for federal and state financial aid.
  • If you want to be considered for federal or state aid only, you only need to complete this form.
  • This form should be completed by US citizens, permanent residents, and other eligible non-citizens only.
    • California residents eligible under the California Dream Act(AB540) should complete a  in lieu of a FAFSA.
    • California residents must file a FAFSA by March 2, 2026 to be considered for state aid.
  • Report income and tax information from the 2024 tax year when you complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA.
  • Report asset values as of the day you complete the FAFSA.
  • Report family size and number in college based on what will be during the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • For students whose parents are divorced or separated, the Custodial Parent on your FAFSA will be the parent who provides you with the most financial support and will no longer be the parent with whom you lived with the most over the past 12 months. For more information, check
  • If your parents are divorced and your custodial parent has remarried, be sure to include all stepparent information in the FAFSA.
Step 2: Complete the CSS Profile

  • Complete the CSS Profile to apply for 61´«Ã½ need-based financial assistance.
  • Students with divorced or separated parents:
    • Both parents will complete their own CSS Profile application.
    • Each parent will access their CSS Profile with different College Board log-in credentials.
    • If your parent(s) have remarried, be sure to include all stepparent income and asset information.
    • Under certain circumstances, students may appeal to have the CSS Profile requirement from your noncustodial parent waived by completing the . Additional documentation of the circumstance will be required.
  • Report your Social Security number correctly on the CSS Profile to avoid delays in processing.

Step 3: Submit Supporting Documentation via the Institutional Document Service (IDOC) portal

Use the College Board’s  to submit your supporting documentation. To ensure your data privacy, the Office of Financial Aid discourages students and parents from submitting documents with Personally Identifiable Information(PII) via fax or email. PII is information that can be used to trace your identity like your social security number and date of birth.  Instead, all students and parents should submit signed copies of their completed 2024 U.S. income tax return(s) to the  The IDOC service is a secure online service which will accept your documents from you and transfer images to the college securely.

  • When you complete the CSS Profile, you will receive a notification from the College Board directing you to submit your required documents to the  online service.
  • You must submit the following to the Ìý²õ±ð°ù±¹¾±³¦±ð:
    • Signed Copies of Parent(s) 2024 Federal Tax Returns including all tax schedules, W-2 and 1099 forms.
      • Non-Tax filers must include all W-2 forms and the 2026-2027 Parent Non-Tax Filer Statement
    • Signed Copies of  Student 2024 Federal Tax Return including all tax schedules, W-2 and 1099 forms.
      • Non-Tax filers must include all W-2 forms and the 2026-2027 Student Non-Tax Filer Statement
    • 2026-2027 Verification Worksheet – Signed by both the parent and the student
  • All parent business owners or partners are asked to submit:
    • Schedule 1, Schedules C, and/or Schedule E from their 2024 Federal Tax Returns, along with K-1 schedule(s) for each corporation or partnership.
  • Non-Filing Statements and Verification Worksheets will all be available in your .

Step 4: Financial Aid Checklist

After November 17, 2025, check the Financial Aid ChecklistÌý²â´Ç³Ü°ùÌý page to ensure all documents have been submitted.

  • Documents submitted to the  may take 7-10 business days after upload to IDOC to be processed and appear in your Financial Aid Checklist.
  • After you submit your financial aid application, you may find that additional documentation is required based on the information you provided.
  • The Financial Aid Checklist in the Admission Applicant Status page will be updated daily after November 17, 2025.
  • For students who submitted application materials during the winter break December 23rd -January 3rd , your checklist should be updated by January 15th after we have synchronized our records with the Office of Admission.
