Web Accessibility at Scripps

61传媒 is committed to providing equal access to its facilities and programs, including its web-based content, to people with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. 61传媒 is currently in the process of converting its electronic resources so that they comply with the WCAG 2.0 Level AA standard and with the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 standard.

Accessible electronic resources are ones that do not rely on only visual cues to provide information, are organized and labeled in a simple, easy-to-follow manner, and allow users multiple ways to interact with the links, buttons, and forms.聽The process of conversion at 61传媒 includes training for staff and faculty on how to create accessible electronic content, developing a plan for converting legacy content, and the use of a third-party monitoring system to alert the College of accessibility problems with its website.
