The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco recently acquired one of 61传媒 professor Nancy Macko’s large format archival pigment prints, “Nirvana for Now,” which she created in 2003 during her sabbatical in France. Since the early 1990s, Macko has drawn upon images of the honeybee society to explore relationships among art, science, technology, and ancient matriarchal cultures.
