Each spring, 61传媒 welcomes committed and prospective students to campus for Admitted Student Day: an exciting slate of activities, community-building, panels, mock classes, and more.

This past April, over 500 attendees got to enjoy aspects of college life, including the opportunity to visit residence halls, meet with senior administrators, engage with key campus resources, and connect with current students.

The day started with a welcome breakfast before multiple breakout sections focused on student experience and a session just for families. After lunch, attendees toured campus amenities like , Scripps鈥 hub for holistic wellness, and participated in a scavenger hunt around the grounds.

Attendees also could choose to attend mock classes like Medicinal Chemistry: A History of Pharmaceuticals (natural science) or Reading the Bible like a Feminist (religious studies), take tours, and explore options to take their college studies beyond California at the Study Abroad and Global Education office.

Senior administrators, including Associate Dean of Faculty Warren Liu and Vice President for Academic Affairs Mary Hatcher-Skeers spoke with attendees inside Garrison Theater.听

President Amy Marcus-Newhall welcomes admitted students to campus.

鈥淲e hope that you will get a better understanding of who the people are, what the campus offers, and what the experience is to determine whether 61传媒will facilitate your college goals,鈥 President Amy Marcus-Newhall said in her remarks to attendees. 鈥淥ur aim is to help equip you to make a choice that reflects your values and priorities.鈥
