Bethany Caulkins – Chemistry

The Caulkins Lab in the Department of Natural Sciences recently published a paper in Chemical Communications听迟颈迟濒别诲 Size- and Shape-selective Substrate Deuteration Catalyzed by a Water-soluble Synthetic Receptor. This study highlights the ability to site-specifically deuterate small guest molecules while they are embedded in a large host molecule called a cavitand, and the paper features Anastasia Karavasili (Pomona ’26) and Grant Stucky (CMC ’25) as student co-authors. We continue to celebrate the excellent work our student researchers perform on a daily basis! The final published article and more information can be found at the following link: .
