What kind of reaffirmation process did 61´«Ã½ most recently engage in?

61´«Ã½ participated in the Thematic Pathway for Reaffirmation (TPR), an alternate, similarly rigorous, and theme-based approach to accreditation. 61´«Ã½was reaffirmed under the , including Core Commitments, Standards of Accreditation, and Criteria for Review (CFRs). While our most recent reaffirmation process was directed by the 2013 standards, WSCUC adopted new standards of accreditation in 2023, detailed in the .

At what stage in the process is 61´«Ã½?

61´«Ã½ last hosted an accreditation visit and review in fall 2022, successfully completed the reaffirmation of accreditation process in March 2023. An interim report received approval in June 2025. Scripps’ next reaccreditation visit and review will occur in 2030.

Here are more details. On September 7, 2022, Scripps’ Thematic Pathway for Reaffirmation of reaccreditation (TPR) report was submitted to our accrediting body WSCUC, and from November 16-18, 2022, 61´«Ã½ hosted our external TPR review team. 61´«Ã½faculty, staff, students, and Board of Trustee community members engaged in thoughtful conversations with the team. 61´«Ã½received the final TPR review team’s report in January 2023, and an institutional team including Scripps’ President, senior staff members, and our accreditation liaison officer met virtually with a WSCUC Commission panel late February 2023 to discuss any additional questions that emerged for the panel. On March 17, 2023 WSCUC sent 61´«Ã½ of successful reaffirmation of accreditation, including future steps, and institutional commendations and recommendations.  As a follow-up, 61´«Ã½submitted an interim report summarizing progress in specific areas in March 2025. Following a meeting of 61´«Ã½representatives with an Interim Review committee, approval of the interim report was given on June 17, 2025.
