Hi everyone! I’m CJ, a graduating senior at 61´«Ã½from New Jersey! I thought it would be fun to write a list of 8 things to do before I graduate soon!Â
- Swim in a fountain
Now, I haven’t done this one… But it is a very popular 61´«Ã½tradition! 61´«Ã½has so many beautiful fountains and many students will (at some point) go for a swim!Â
- Try every Motley Senior Drink
The Motley is our student-run coffee house. At the end of each spring semester, the senior employees make their own drinks! They get pretty creative.
- Present at Capstone DayÂ
Capstone Day, a time when graduating seniors present their work, is this week. I’m looking forward to presenting my neuroscience thesis and getting to see what my friends have been working hard on!
- Sign your name on the Graffiti WallÂ
One of the best 61´«Ã½traditions is our Graffiti Wall. Graduating students will paint a mural on how they wish to be remembered and everyone signs their name!Â
- Eat your favorite dining hall meal one last timeÂ
The food at the 5Cs is amazing! The 61´«Ã½dining hall, Malott, is one of my favorites! I’m a big fan of Saturday brunch, when they serve ²¹Ã§²¹Ã! I already miss weekend brunches here. Â
- Attend my last lab bonding event
One of my favorite parts of my 61´«Ã½experience has been my time researching in my neuroscience lab. We have done some pretty epic bonding activities, like hiking Mt. Baldy, bowling, dance parties, and cooking.Â
- Attend the Fast Forward dance show
Another huge part of my 61´«Ã½experience has been the 5C dance shows. While we have already had our big 61´«Ã½Dances show, during the last week of classes, the Pomona Dance Department hosts Fast Forward. This is a show that displays student choreography and it’ll be my last piece at Scripps!
- Write my final admissions blog (haha)
It has been an honor to work as an Admission Ambassador these past few years.Â
I can’t thank the Admissions team enough for their support throughout my time atÂ
