Biography
Jocelyn Reid is a ceramic and mixed media artist from Treaty 7 Territory in Canada. Working from real and fabricated objects, she carefully alters recognizable forms through intentional distortions in shape, color, and material. Reid maintains a deep dedication to craft and traditional sculptural processes, with casting at the core of her practice. She has exhibited work in North America, Taiwan, China, and Europe, and has been the recipient of national and international awards. Reid has participated in multiple residencies, including the Banff Centre, the Vermont Studio Center, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center.
